Furniture - Bunk beds and high beds - Part 2: Test methods
This document specifies test methods for the safety, strength and durability of bunk beds and high beds for domestic and non-domestic use.
The tests are applicable to beds with an internal length greater than 1 400 mm and a maximum bed base width of 1 200 mm and with the upper surface of a bed base 600 mm or more above the floor.
The tests are designed to be applied to a bed that is fully assembled and ready for use.
The applicable safety requirements are given in FprEN 747-1:2023.

Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren für die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit von Etagenbetten und Hochbetten für die Nutzung im Wohn und Nicht-Wohnbereich fest.
Die Prüfungen sind anwendbar für Betten mit einer inneren Länge von mehr als 1 400 mm und einer Höchstbreite des Bettbodens von 1 200 mm, bei denen sich die Oberseite eines Bettbodens 600 mm oder mehr über der Stellfläche befindet.
Die Prüfungen sind für die Anwendung bei einem vollständig zusammengebauten und gebrauchsfertigen Bett ausgelegt.
Die zutreffenden sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen sind in FprEN 747-1:2023 angegeben.

Le présent document spécifie des méthodes d’essai pour évaluer la sécurité, la résistance et la durabilité des lits superposés et des lits surélevés à usage domestique et collectif. Les essais s’appliquent aux lits dont la longueur intérieure est supérieure à 1 400 mm, dont la largeur du sommier est au maximum de 1 200 mm et dont la face supérieure du sommier se trouve au moins à 600 mm au-dessus du sol.
Les essais sont conçus pour être appliqués à un lit entièrement assemblé et prêt à l’emploi.
Les exigences de sécurité applicables sont énoncées dans le prEN 747-1:2022.
