ISO 11403-3:2014 specifies test procedures for the acquisition and presentation of multipoint data which demonstrate the behaviour of plastics under the following environments:
prolonged exposure to heat;
liquid chemicals;
environmental stress cracking under a constant tensile stress;
artificial weathering.
The tests are listed in order of increasing severity of the environment. By testing under the least severe environments first, it is possible to make informed judgements regarding whether tests under more severe conditions are worthwhile.

Dieser Teil von ISO 11403 legt Prüfverfahren fest für die Ermittlung und Darstellung von Vielpunkt-Kennwerten, die das Verhalten von Kunststoffen gegenüber den folgenden Umgebungseinflüssen darstellen:
-   langanhaltende Wärmeeinwirkung;
-   flüssige Medien;
-   umgebungsbedingte Spannungsrissbildung unter konstanter Zugspannung;
-   künstliche Bewitterung.
Die Prüfungen sind in der Reihenfolge zunehmender Schärfe aufgeführt. Durch Prüfung bei weniger scharfen Umgebungseinflüssen ist es möglich zu entscheiden, ob Prüfungen unter schärferen Bedingungen sinnvoll sind.

L'ISO 11403-3:2014 spécifie les modes opératoires d'essai en vue de l'acquisition et de la présentation de données multiples qui démontrent le comportement des plastiques dans les environnements suivants:
exposition prolongée à la chaleur;
produits chimiques liquides;
fissuration dans un environnement donné sous contrainte de traction constante;
vieillissement artificiel.
Les essais sont indiqués par ordre de sévérité croissante de l'effet de l'environnement. Commencer par les environnements les moins sévères permet de juger en toute connaissance de cause s'il vaut la peine d'effectuer des essais dans des conditions plus sévères.

Standard EN ISO 11403-3 določa preskusne postopke za pridobitev in predstavitev podatkov, dobljenih pri različnih pogojih, ki se v naslednjih okoljih obnašajo kot polimerni materiali: - dolgotrajna izpostavljenost vročini; - kemikalije v tekočem stanju; - napetostna korozija pri stalni natezni obremenitvi; - umetna izpostavljenost vremenskim vplivom. Preskusi so navedeni po vrstnem redu odvisno od zahtevnosti okolja. S preskušanjem najprej v najmanj zahtevnih okoljih je mogoče ustrezno oceniti, ali so potrebni preskusi v resnejših pogojih.

This document (EN ISO 11403-3:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 “Plastics” in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 “Plastics” the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2014.

ISO 175:2010 specifies a method of exposing test specimens of plastic materials, free from all external restraint, to liquid chemicals, and methods for determining the changes in properties resulting from such immersion. It does not cover environmental stress cracking (ESC) which is dealt with by the various parts of ISO 22088.
It only considers testing by immersion of the entire surface of the test specimen.
It is applicable to all solid plastics that are available in the form of moulding or extrusion materials, plates, tubes, rods or sheets having a thickness greater than 0,1 mm. It is not applicable to cellular materials.

Plastics - Determination of puncture impact behaviour of rigid plastics - Part 1: Non-instrumented impact testing (ISO 6603-1:2000)

This International Standard specifies methods for the determination of puncture-impact properties of rigid plastics in
the form of flat test specimens, such as discs or square pieces, under defined conditions. Specimens may be
moulded directly, cut from sheets or taken from finished products. Different types of test specimens and test
conditions are defined.
These falling-dart methods are used to investigate the behaviour of plastic sheeting or mouldings under the impact
of a striker applied perpendicular to the plane of the specimen.
This part of ISO 6603 can be used if it is sufficient to characterize the impact behaviour of plastics by a threshold
value of impact-failure energy based on many test specimens. ISO 6603-2 is used if a force-deflection or force-time
diagram, recorded at nominally constant striker velocity, is necessary for detailed characterization of the impact
behaviour.
These test methods are applicable to specimens with a thickness between 1 mm and 4 mm.
NOTE For thicknesses less than 1 mm, ISO 7765 should preferably be used. Thicknesses greater than 4 mm may be
tested if the equipment is suitable, but the test falls outside the scope of ISO 6603-1 and ISO 6603-2.
These methods are suitable for use with the following types of material:
_ rigid thermoplastic moulding and extrusion materials, including filled, unfilled and reinforced compounds and
sheets;
_ rigid thermosetting moulding and extrusion materials, including filled and reinforced compounds, sheets and
laminates;
_ fibre-reinforced thermoset and thermoplastic composites incorporating unidirectional or non-unidirectional
reinforcements such as mats, woven fabrics, woven rovings, chopped strands, combination and hybrid
reinforcements, rovings, milled fibres and sheets made from pre-impregnated materials (prepregs).
These methods are also applicable to specimens which are either moulded or machined from finished products,
laminates and extruded or cast sheet.
The test results are comparable only if the conditions of preparation of the specimens, their dimensions and
surfaces as well as the test conditions are the same. In particular, results determined on specimens of different
thickness cannot be compared with one another (see annex E of ISO 6603-2:—). Comprehensive evaluation of the
reaction to impact stress requires that determinations be made as a function of impact velocity and temperature for
different material variables, such as crystallinity and moisture content.
The impact behaviour of finished products cannot be predicted directly from this test, but specimens may be taken
from finished products (see above) for test by these methods.
Test data developed by these methods should not be used for design calculations. However, information on the
typical behaviour of the material can be obtained by testing at different temperatures and impact velocities (see
annex D of ISO 6603-2:—), by varying the thickness (see annex E of ISO 6603-2:—) and by testing specimens
prepared under different conditions.
Two statistical methods of test are described in this part of ISO 6603:
_ Method A: staircase method (individual) (preferred)
In this method, a uniform energy increment is employed during testing. The energy is decreased or increased
by the uniform increment after testing each specimen, depending upon the observed result (pass or fail) for the
preceding test.

This document specifies design, type test methods, marking and instruction requirements for cylinder valves with integrated pressure regulators (VIPRs) intended to be fitted to gas cylinders, pressure drums or tubes or used as a main valve for bundles of cylinders that convey compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases.
These are requirements for VIPRs that are in addition to those given in the relevant closure standard, for example, in ISO 10297 for cylinder valves, in ISO 17871 for quick-release cylinder valves, in ISO 17879 for self-closing cylinder valves or in ISO 23826 for ball valves. For ISO 17871, these requirements are only applicable to quick-release cylinder valves types B, C, D and E.
NOTE 1        If the pressure regulating system of a VIPR is acting as the primary valve operating mechanism, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826. This also includes designs where closure of the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is obtained by closing the seat of the pressure regulating system.
NOTE 2        If the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is located at the low-pressure side of the pressure regulating system, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826.
NOTE 3        The term “pressure receptacle” is used within this document to cover instances where no differentiation is necessary between gas cylinders, bundles of cylinders, pressure drums and tubes.
This document does not apply to VIPRs for
a)       medical applications (see ISO 10524-3);
b)       liquefied petroleum gas (LPG);
c)        cryogenic applications.
