Resilient floor coverings - Specification for plain and decorative linoleum on a corkment backing

This European standard specifies the characteristics of plain and decorated linoleum on a corkment backing as a compound floor covering, supplied in roll  form. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice,this standard includes a classification system based on intensity of use, which shows where resilient floor coverings should give satisfactory service (see EN 685). It also includes requirements for marking. The term 'linoleum' is frequently incorrectly applied to a range of floorcovering , often to those based on PVC or rubber. Such materials are excluded.

Diese europäische Norm spezifiziert die Merkmale von ungemusterten und gemusterten Linoleum-Bodenbelägen mit Korkmentrücken fest, die in Form von Rollen geliefert werden.Linoleum' wird häufig fälschlicherweise auf eine Reihe von Bodenbelägen angewandt, so beispielsweise auf solche auf der Basis von PVC oder Elastomeren. Solche Materialien fallen nicht unter diese Norm. Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese elastischen Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich wäre.

Revêtements de sol résilients - Spécifications pour le linoléum uni et décoratif sur support en composition de liège

La présente norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques du linoléum uni et décoré sur une sous-couche de liège  en tant que revêtement de sol composé fourni sous forme de feuille. Le terme 'linoleum' est fréquemment utilisé de manière incorrecte pour désigner une gamme de revêtements de sol qui sont souvent à base de PVC ou de caoutchouc. Ces matériaux sont exclus de la présente norme. Pour aider le consommateur à faire son choix, cette norme inclut un système de classification basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit où le revêtement de sol résilient rendrait un service satisfaisant.
