Plastics - Determination of dynamic mechanical properties - Part 2: Torsion-pendulum method (ISO 6721-2:2019)

This document specifies two methods (A and B) for determining the linear dynamic mechanical properties of plastics, i.e. the storage and loss components of the torsional modulus, as a function of temperature, for small deformations within the frequency range from 0,1 Hz to 10 Hz.
NOTE       The temperature dependence of these properties, measured over a sufficiently broad range of temperatures (for example from −50 °C to +150 °C for most commercially available plastics), gives information on the transition regions (for example the glass transition and the melting transition) of the polymer. It also provides information concerning the onset of plastic flow.
The two methods described are not applicable to non-symmetrical laminates (see ISO 6721-3). The methods are not suitable for testing rubbers, for which the user is referred to ISO 4664-2.

Dieses Dokument legt zwei Verfahren (A und B) fest, um die linearen dynamisch mechanischen Eigenschaften von Kunststoffen zu bestimmen, und zwar die Speicher  und Verlustkomponenten des Torsionsmoduls als Funktion der Temperatur für kleine Verformungen im Frequenzbereich von 0,1 Hz bis 10 Hz.
ANMERKUNG   Die Temperaturabhängigkeit dieser Größen, ermittelt in einem ausreichend weiten Temperaturbereich (zum Beispiel für die meisten kommerziell erhältlichen Kunststoffe von −50 °C bis +150 °C), liefert Informationen zu den Übergangsbereichen (zum Beispiel für den Übergang „glasartig gummiartig“ oder den Schmelz¬übergang) des Polymers. Außerdem werden Informationen zum Beginn des plastischen Fließens angegeben.
Die beiden beschriebenen Verfahren sind nicht anwendbar auf unsymmetrische Laminate (siehe ISO 6721 3). Die Verfahren sind nicht geeignet zur Prüfung von Elastomeren. Hierzu wird auf ISO 4664 2 verwiesen.

Le présent document spécifie deux méthodes (A et B) pour la détermination des propriétés mécaniques dynamiques linéaires des plastiques, c'est-à-dire des composantes de conservation et de perte du module en torsion en fonction de la température, pour de petites déformations dans la gamme de fréquences allant de 0,1 Hz à 10 Hz.
NOTE       La dépendance thermique de ces propriétés, mesurée sur une gamme de températures suffisamment large (par exemple de −50 °C à +150 °C pour la plupart des plastiques disponibles dans le commerce), donne des informations sur les zones de transition (par exemple transition vitreuse ou fusion) d'un polymère. Elle donne aussi une information au sujet du début de l'écoulement d'un plastique.
Les deux méthodes décrites ici ne sont pas applicables aux stratifiés asymétriques (voir l'ISO 6721‑3). Ces méthodes ne conviennent pas non plus pour l'essai des caoutchoucs, qui sont traités dans l'ISO 4664‑2.

Različni deli standarda ISO 6721 določajo metode za določanje dinamičnih mehanskih lastnosti togih polimerov v območju linearnega viskoelastičnega vedenja. Ta dokument določa opredelitve in opisuje splošna načela, vključno z vsemi vidiki, ki so skupni posameznim preskusnim metodam, opisanim v naslednjih delih.
Različni načini deformacije lahko dajo rezultate, ki niso neposredno primerljivi. Natezne vibracije na primer
povzročijo napetost, ki je enakomerna po celotni debelini vzorca, medtem ko na upogibne meritve prednostno vplivajo lastnosti površinskih predelov preskušanca.
Vrednosti, pridobljene z upogibnim preskusom, bodo z vrednostmi, pridobljenimi z nateznim preskusom, primerljive le pri stopnji natezanja, pri čemer je razmerje med napetostjo in deformacijo linearno, in za preskušance, ki imajo homogeno
strukturo.
