Extended application of test results for fire resistance and/or smoke control for door, shutter and openable window assemblies, including their elements of building hardware - Part 11: Fire resistance for operable fabric curtains

This document covers vertically mounted types of manual or powered, operable fabric curtain assemblies with downward closing operation. Curtain systems are different from (are separated from) door systems due to their not rigid closure element typically made of thin walled materials as for instance woven or knitted fabrics and foils. These closure elements are not able to carry significant loads normal to their surface by their bending stiffness. In other words: curtain systems are separated from door systems because they can only conduct pulling forces by tensile stress in plane to their surface. Pushing forces are not conducted in plane to their surface.
This document establishes the methodology for extending the application of test results obtained from test(s) conducted in accordance with the EN 1634-1 test method for shutters.
Subject to the completion of the appropriate test or tests selected from those identified in Clause 4, the extended application may cover all or some of the following non-exhaustive list of examples:
-   uninsulated (E), radiation (EW) or insulated (EI1 or EI2) classifications;
-   coiling mechanisms;
-   wall/ceiling fixed elements;
-   items of building hardware;
-   decorative finishes;
-   intumescent, draught or acoustic seals;
-   alternative supporting construction(s).

Dieses Dokument behandelt vertikal montierte Arten hand- oder kraftbetätigter Feuerschutzvorhänge mit nach unten gerichtetem Schließvorgang. Behangsysteme unterscheiden sich von (sind getrennt von) Tür-/Torsystemen aufgrund ihrer nicht starren Verschlusselemente, die in der Regel aus dünnwandigen Materialien, wie z. B. gewebten oder gewirkten Stoffen oder Folien, bestehen. Diese Verschlusselemente sind nicht in der Lage, erhebliche Lasten senkrecht zur Oberfläche durch ihre Biegesteifigkeit zu tragen. Mit anderen Worten sind Behangsysteme von Tür-/Torsystemen getrennt, weil sie Zugkräfte nur durch Zugspannung in der Ebene ihrer Oberfläche übertragen können. Druckkräfte werden in der Ebene ihrer Oberfläche nicht übertragen.
Dieses Dokument legt die Methoden zur Erweiterung der Anwendung von Ergebnissen dar, die aus Prüfverfahren von Abschlüssen nach EN 1634-1 erhalten wurden.
In Abhängigkeit von der Durchführung der entsprechenden Prüfung oder Prüfungen, die aus den in Abschnitt 4 aufgeführten auszuwählen sind, darf der erweiterte Anwendungsbereich einige oder alle der nachstehend aufgeführten Beispiele abdecken, wobei diese Liste als unvollständig anzusehen ist:
- nicht wärmegedämmte (E), strahlungsbezogene (EW) oder wärmegedämmte (EI1 oder EI2) Klassi-fizierungen;
- Wickelmechanismen;
- Wand-/Deckenbefestigungselemente;
- Baubeschlagelemente;
- dekorative Oberflächenausführungen;
- dämmschichtbildende, Zugluft- oder Schallschutz-Dichtungen;
- alternative Tragkonstruktion(en).

Application étendue des résultats d’essais en matière de résistance au feu et/ou d’étanchéité à la fumée des blocs-portes, blocs-fermetures et ouvrants de fenêtre, y compris leurs éléments de quincaillerie intégrés - Partie 11 : Résistance au feu des rideaux en toile manoeuvrables

Le présent document couvre les types de rideaux en toile montés verticalement, manoeuvrables
manuellement ou motorisés, avec mouvement de fermeture vers le bas. Les systèmes de rideaux sont
différents des (séparés des) systèmes de portes du fait de leur élément de fermeture non rigide
généralement composé de matériaux à fine paroi, comme par exemple les toiles et feuilles tissées ou
tricotées. Ces éléments de fermeture ne sont pas capables de supporter d’importantes charges
perpendiculaires à leur surface, de par leur rigidité à la flexion. En d’autres termes, les systèmes de
rideaux sont séparés des systèmes de portes car ils peuvent transmettre des forces de poussée axiales
uniquement par contrainte en traction dans le plan par rapport à leur surface. Les forces de poussée
axiales ne sont pas transmises dans le plan par rapport à leur surface.
Le présent document établit la méthodologie permettant d’étendre l’application des résultats d’essai
obtenus suite à un (des) essai(s) réalisé(s) conformément à la méthode d’essai des fermetures telle que
décrite dans l’EN 1634-1.
Sous réserve de la réalisation de l’essai ou des essais appropriés choisis parmi ceux identifiés à
l’Article 4, l’application étendue peut couvrir tout ou partie de la liste non exhaustive suivante :
 classements d’étanchéité au feu (E), de rayonnement (EW) ou d’isolation thermique (EI1 ou EI2) ;
 mécanismes d’enroulement ;
 éléments fixés au mur/plafond ;
 éléments de quincaillerie de bâtiment ;
 finitions décoratives ;
 joints intumescents, joints d’étanchéité à l’air ou joints acoustiques ;
 autre(s) construction/cadre(s) support.

Ta dokument obravnava navpično nameščene tipe ročnih ali električnih sestavov vodljivih tekstilnih zaves z zapiranjem navzdol. Sistemi zaves se razlikujejo od sistemov vrat (in so ločeni od njih) zaradi netogega zapornega elementa, ki je običajno izdelan iz tankostenskih materialov, kot so tkanine ali pletiva in folije. Ti zaporni elementi s svojo upogibno togostjo ne prenesejo večjih obremenitev, ki so običajne za njihovo površino. Z drugimi besedami: sistemi zaves so ločeni od sistemov vrat, ker lahko vlečne sile ustvarijo le z natezno napetostjo v ravnini svoje površine. Potisne sile ne nastanejo v ravnini na njihovo površino.
Ta dokument vzpostavlja metodologijo za razširitev uporabe rezultatov preskušanj, pridobljenih iz preskusov, izvedenih v skladu s preskusno metodo za zaporne elemente iz standarda EN 1634-1.
Razširjena uporaba lahko (glede na opravljene ustrezne preskuse, izbrane med preskusi, opredeljenimi v točki 4) zajema vse naslednje primere ali nekatere primere iz naslednjega neizčrpnega seznama:
