This document specifies the functional requirements for 4 types and 2 sizes (see Clause 3) and the safety requirements (see Clause 4) for football goals.
It is applicable to football goals for training and competition in outdoor sports facilities and indoor arenas.
The following football goals are excluded:
a) EN 16579: goals with a size of 5,00 m × 2,00 m and 7,32 m × 2,44 m and with a total weight of ≥ 10 kg and ≤ 42 kg (total weight includes net, net fixing and any permanently attached anchoring or stabilizing system);
b) EN 16664: (lightweight goals).

Le présent document spécifie les exigences fonctionnelles de quatre types et deux tailles de buts de football (voir Article 3) et les exigences de sécurité correspondantes (voir Article 4).
Il est applicable aux buts de football pour l’entraînement et la compétition dans les installations de plein air et d’intérieur.
!Les buts de football suivants sont exclus :
a) EN 16579 : buts de dimensions 5,00 m × 2,00 m et 7,32 m × 2,44 m et ayant une masse totale ≥ 10 kg et ≤ 42 kg (masse totale incluant le filet, la fixation du filet, et éventuellement tout système de stabilisation ou d'ancrage permanent) ;
b) EN 16664 : (buts légers)."

Ta dokument določa funkcionalne zahteve za 4 vrste in 2 velikosti (glej točko 3) ter varnostne zahteve (glej točko 4) za nogometna vrata.
Uporablja se za nogometna vrata za treniranje in tekmovanje na zunanjih športnih površinah in v zaprtih dvoranah.
Izključena so naslednja nogometna vrata:
a) EN 16579: vrata velikosti 5,00 m × 2,00 m in 7,32 m × 2,44 m s skupno težo ≥ 10 kg in ≤ 42 kg (skupina teža vključuje mrežo, pritrdila za mrežo in trajno pritrjen sistem za fiksiranje ali stabilizacijo);
b) EN 16664: (lahka nogometna vrata).
