Diese Norm behandelt nicht den Schutz vor Stößen oder vor Kälte.

La présente Norme européenne fixe des exigences de sécurité et des méthodes d'essai applicables aux systèmes de sac gonflable anti-ensevelissement lors d'une avalanche afin de réduire le risque d'ensevelissement lors d'une avalanche de neige, pouvant entraîner l'étouffement, un manque d'oxygène, des blessures et fractures, une hémorragie interne, des lésions d'organes, une hypothermie, une découverte trop tardive de la victime, etc..
La présente Norme européenne ne prend pas en considération la protection contre les chocs ou les basses températures.
