Safety requirements for cableway installations designed to carry persons - Prevention and fight against fire
This European standard establishes the safety requirements that apply to prevention and fight against fire in cableway installations designed to carry persons.
This standard defines safety principles relating to the prevention of and fight against fires in terms of design, operability and maintainability of cableway installations, and operation and maintenance instructions.
This document supplements the existing standards listed in the foreword exclusively in respect of aspects of fire prevention and firefighting.
This standard does not apply to cableway installations for the transportation of goods nor to lifts.
Sicherheitsanforderungen an Seilbahnen für die Personenbeförderung - Brandverhütung und –bekämpfung
Die vorliegende Europäische Norm legt die Sicherheitsanforderungen für Brandverhütung und bekämpfung an Seilbahnen für die Personenbeförderung fest.
In dieser Norm werden Sicherheitsgrundsätze im Bereich Brandverhütung und Brandbekämpfung für Planung, betriebs- und wartungstechnische Erfordernisse der Seilbahnanlagen, sowie Anweisungen für Betrieb und Instandhaltung festgelegt.
Dieses Dokument vervollständigt die bereits vorhandenen und im Vorwort aufgeführten Normen ausschließlich um Aspekte der Brandverhütung und bekämpfung.
Diese Norm gilt weder für Seilbahnen des Güterverkehrs noch für Aufzüge.

La présente norme européenne établit les prescriptions de sécurité s’appliquant à la prévention et la lutte contre l’incendie des installations à câbles transportant des personnes.
Dans cette norme, sont définis les principes de sécurité en matière de prévention et de lutte contre les incendies concernant la conception, l'exploitabilité et la maintenabilité des installations à câbles, ainsi que les instructions d’exploitation et de maintenance.
Ce document complète les normes existantes citées à l’avant-propos exclusivement en ce qui concerne les aspects de prévention et de lutte contre les incendies.
Cette norme ne s’applique ni aux installations de transport à câble destinées aux marchandises, ni aux ascenseurs.
