Resistance welding equipment - Electrode taper fits for spot welding equipment - Dimensions (ISO 1089:2023)

This document specifies the dimensions and tolerances of taper fits between the following:
—     straight electrodes and electrode holders;
—     electrode adapters connecting electrode caps and electrode holders;
—     female electrode caps and electrode adapters;
—     male electrode caps and electrode adapters.
NOTE            Electrode holders and electrode caps utilizing locking tapers are addressed in ISO 20168.

Dieses Dokument legt Maße und zulässige Abweichungen von Kegelsitzen zwischen den folgenden Elementen fest:
   gerade Elektroden und Elektrodenhalter;
   Elektrodenschäfte, Elektrodenkappen und Elektrodenhalter;
   Elektrodenkappen mit Innenkegel und Elektrodenschäfte;
   Elektrodenkappen mit Außenkegel und Elektrodenschäfte.
ANMERKUNG   Elektrodenhalter und Elektrodenkappen, die selbsthemmende Kegel verwenden, werden in ISO 20168 behandelt.

Le présent document spécifie les dimensions et tolérances des emmanchements coniques entre les éléments suivants:
—     des pointes d’électrodes droites et des porte-électrodes;
—     des allonges d’électrodes reliant des embouts amovibles et des porte-électrodes;
—     des embouts amovibles femelles et des allonges d’électrodes;
—     des embouts amovibles mâles et des allonges d’électrodes.
NOTE            Les porte-électrodes et les embouts amovibles utilisant des cônes de serrage sont couverts dans l’ISO 20168.

This document (EN ISO 1089:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2024, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by January 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 21089:1991.
