Gas welding equipment - Pressure gauges used in welding, cutting and allied processes (ISO 5171:2009)

ISO 5171:2009 specifies requirements for Bourdon-tube pressure gauges normally used with compressed gas systems at pressures up to 30 MPa (300 bar) in welding, cutting and allied processes. It also covers use for dissolved acetylene and for liquefied gases under pressure. It does not cover gauges for acetylene in acetylene-manufacturing plants.

Diese Internationale Norm gilt für Rohrfeder Manometer zum Einsatz mit Druckgasen für Schweißen, Schneiden und verwandte Prozesse mit Drücken bis zu 30 MPa (300 bar). Sie gilt auch beim Einsatz für gelöstes Acetylen und für unter Druck stehende Flüssiggase.
Sie gilt nicht für Acetylenmanometer in Acetylenwerken.

L'ISO 5171:2009 spécifie des exigences pour des manomètres à tube de Bourdon utilisés habituellement en soudage, coupage et techniques connexes, pour les installations de gaz comprimés jusqu'à des pressions de 30 MPa (300 bar). Elle traite également de l'acétylène dissous et des gaz liquéfiés sous pression. Elle ne traite pas des manomètres pour acétylène utilisés dans les usines de production d'acétylène.

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za manometre z Bourdonovo cevjo, ki se običajno uporabljajo s sistemi na stisnjen plin pri tlakih do 30 MPa (300 bar) pri varjenju, rezanju in sorodnih postopkih. Zajema tudi uporabo raztopljenega acetilena in utekočinjenih plinov pod tlakom.

The text of ISO 5171:2009 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 “Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
5171:2010 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by September 2010.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 562:2003.
