Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-1: Testing and measurement techniques - Overview of IEC 61000-4 series

The object of this part of IEC 61000 is to give applicability assistance to the technical committees of IEC or other bodies, users and manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment on EMC standards within the IEC 61000-4 series on testing and measurement techniques and to provide general recommendations concerning the choice of relevant tests. This standard has the status of a basic EMC publication in accordance with IEC Guide 107.

L'objet de cette partie de la CEI 61000 est de donner une aide aux comités techniques de la CEI ou autres organismes, aux utilisateurs et aux fabricants de matériels électroniques sur l'application des normes CEM de la série CEI 61000-4 sur les techniques de mesures et d'essais et de leur fournir des recommandations générales concernant le choix des essais pertinents. Cette norme a le statut de publication fondamentale en CEM conformément au Guide 107 de la CEI.

Ta del IEC 61000 pokriva preskusne in merilne tehnike za električno in elektronsko opremo (aparati in sistemi) v svojem elektromagnetnem okolju. Navaja primernost podpore tehničnemu komiteju IEC ali ostalim organom, uporabnikom in izdelovalcem električne in elektronske opreme na standardih EMC znotraj družine IEC 61000-4 na preskusnih in merilnih tehnikah in da zagotavlja osnovna priporočila, ki zadevajo izbiro relevantnih preskusov.

Foreword
The text of document 77/319/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 61000-4-1, prepared by IEC TC 77,
Electromagnetic compatibility, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by
CENELEC as EN 61000-4-1 on 2007-02-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61000-4-1:2000.
Changes introduced in EN 61000-4-1:2007 are for the purpose of updating the text to include reference to
the latest publications of the EN 61000-4 series.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2007-11-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2010-02-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
