This International Standard specifies general and safety requirements for light-emitting diode (LED) modules: - LED modules without integral control gear for operation under constant voltage, constant current or constant power; - self-ballasted LED modules for use on d.c. supplies up to 250 V or a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

Ta mednarodni standard določa splošne in varnostne zahteve za module z organskimi svetlečimi diodami (LED): – module LED brez vgrajene kontrolne naprave za delovanje pod konstantno napetostjo, tokom in močjo; – module LED z vgrajeno predstikalno napravo, ki uporabljajo napajalnike z enosmerno napetostjo do 250 V ali izmenično napetostjo do 1000 V s frekvenco 50 Hz ali 60 Hz.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 62031:2008; it was approved by CENELEC on 2012-
12-03. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate
the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.
This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.
CENELEC members are the national electrotechnical committees of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus,
the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany,

"Lamps", of IEC TC 34, "Lamps and related equipment" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote
and approved by CENELEC as EN 62031:2008/A1:2013.
