Radio frequency and coaxial cable assemblies - Part 1: Generic specification - General requirements and test methods
IEC 60966-1:2019 is available as IEC 60966-1:2019 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition.IEC 60966-1:2019 specifies requirements for radio frequency coaxial cable assemblies operating in the transverse electromagnetic mode (TEM) and establishes general requirements for testing the electrical, mechanical and environmental properties of radio frequency coaxial cable assemblies composed of cables and connectors. Additional requirements relating to specific families of cable assemblies are given in the relevant sectional specifications. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 1999. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) measurement method for screening effectiveness was cancelled; b) give references to relevant test procedures for transfer impedance and screening attenuation

IEC 60966-1:2019 est disponible sous forme de IEC 60966-1:2019 RLV qui contient la Norme internationale et sa version Redline, illustrant les modifications du contenu technique depuis l'édition précédente.L'IEC 60966-1:2019 définit les exigences relatives aux cordons coaxiaux et aux cordons pour fréquences radioélectriques travaillant en mode électromagnétique transversal (TEM: Transverse Electromagnetic Mode). Elle fixe des exigences générales pour contrôler les propriétés électriques, mécaniques et environnementales des cordons coaxiaux pour fréquences radioélectriques composés de câbles et de connecteurs. Des exigences supplémentaires relatives à des familles spécifiques de cordons figurent dans les spécifications intermédiaires applicables. Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 1999. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: a) méthode de mesure de l’efficacité d’écran a été retiree; b) donne les références aux procédures d'essai applicables pour impedance de transfert and affaiblissement d'écran.

Ta del standarda IEC 60966 določa zahteve za sestave radiofrekvenčnih koaksialnih kablov, ki delujejo v prečnem elektromagnetnem načinu (TEM), in določa splošne zahteve za preskušanje električnih, mehanskih ter okoljskih lastnosti sestavov radiofrekvenčnih koaksialnih kablov, sestavljenih iz kablov in priključkov. Dodatne zahteve v zvezi s specifičnimi družinami kabelskih sestavov so podane v ustreznih področnih specifikacijah.
Zasnova uporabljenih kablov in priključkov naj bo po možnosti skladna z veljavnimi deli standarda IEC 61196 oziroma IEC 61169.
OPOMBA 1: Ta dokument ne vključuje preskusov, ki se običajno izvajajo ločeno na kablih in priključkih. Ti preskusi so opisani v standardih IEC 61196-1 (vsi deli) in IEC 61169-1.
OPOMBA 2: Če je to mogoče, se preskusi kablov in priključkov, ki se uporabljajo v kabelskih sestavih, tudi če niso opisani v skupini standardov IEC 61196 ali IEC 61169, izvajajo ločeno v skladu s preskusi, podanimi v ustrezni splošni specifikaciji.

submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as EN IEC 60966-1:2019.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2019-12-15
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2022-03-15
document have to be withdrawn
This document supersedes EN 60966-1:1999.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
