This International Standard specifies the dimensions of T-slot cutters with plain or flatted cylindrical shanks, with threaded shanks and with Morse taper shanks having tapped hole. It applies to those tools which are intended for manufacturing T-slots for machine tools for equipment, in accordance with ISO 299. T-slot cutters with plain cylindrical shanks or flatted cylindrical shanks and with threaded shanks are suitable for the production of slots in accordance with ISO 299 from 5 mm to 36 mm inclusive; those with Morse taper shanks are suitable for the production of slots in accordance with ISO 299 from 10 mm to 54 mm inclusive.

La présente Norme internationale spécifie les dimensions des fraises pour rainures à T, à queue cylindrique lisse, cylindrique à méplat, à queue filetée et à queue cône Morse à trou taraudé. Elle est applicable aux outils destinés à l'usinage des rainures à T, pour machines-outils ou équipements, conformément à l'ISO 299. Les fraises pour rainures à T, à queue cylindrique à méplat et à queue filetée sont appropriées pour l'usinage de rainures conformes à l'ISO 299 de 5 mm à 36 mm inclus; celles à queue cône Morse sont appropriées pour l'usinage de rainures conformes à l'ISO 299 de 10 mm à 54 mm inclus.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO
member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical
committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in
liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting.
Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.

International Standard ISO 3337 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 29, Small tools, Subcommittee
SC 2, Drills, reamers, milling cutters and milling machine accessories.
This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 3337:1978), which has been technically revised in
particular with the addition of threaded shanks.

L'ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération mondiale d'organismes nationaux de
normalisation (comités membres de l'ISO). L'élaboration des Normes internationales est en général confiéeaux
comités techniques de l'ISO. Chaque comité membre intéressé par une étude aledroit de fairepartie ducomité
technique créé à cet effet. Les organisations internationales, gouvernementales et non gouvernementales, en
liaison avec l'ISO participent également aux travaux. L'ISO collabore étroitement avec la Commission
électrotechnique internationale (CEI) en ce qui concerne la normalisation électrotechnique.
Les Normes internationales sont rédigées conformément aux règles données dans les Directives ISO/CEI, Partie 3.
Les projets de Normes internationales adoptés par les comités techniques sont soumis aux comités membres pour
vote. Leur publication comme Normes internationales requiert l'approbation de 75 % au moins des comités
