The purpose of this part of IEC 61300 is to ensure that the captivation or the attachment of the
cable to the fibre optic devices or components, for example fibre optic closures, will withstand
compressive axial loads likely to be applied during normal service.

IEC 61300-2-11:2023 est disponible sous forme de IEC 61300-2-11:2023 RLV qui contient la Norme internationale et sa version Redline, illustrant les modifications du contenu technique depuis l'édition précédente.
L'IEC 61300-2-11:2023 vise à vérifier que la rétention ou la fixation du câble à des dispositifs ou des composants fibroniques, par exemple boîtiers fibroniques, résistera aux forces de compression axiale susceptibles d'être appliquées dans des conditions normales de fonctionnement. Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 2012. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente:
a) ajout d’un article "Termes et définitions";
b) suppression du tableau des sévérités pour les boîtiers;
c) ajout d'une recommandation de sévérité pour les tubes et les câbles sans fixation d'éléments de renfort.

The text of document 86B/4807/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 61300-2-11, prepared by SC 86B "Fibre
optic interconnecting devices and passive components" of IEC/TC 86 "Fibre optics" was submitted to
the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as EN IEC 61300-2-11:2024.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2024-09-29
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2024-12-29
document have to be withdrawn
This document supersedes EN 61300-2-11:2013 and all of its amendments and corrigenda (if any).
