Internal blinds - Performance requirements including safety
This European Standard specifies the requirements which internal blinds shall fulfil when fitted to a
building. It deals also with the significant machinery hazards relating to construction, transport, installation,
operation and maintenance of internal blinds (see list of significant hazards in Annex B).
It applies to internal blinds, whatever their design and the nature of the materials used, as listed below:
— venetian blind: free hanging, guided, non-retractable;
— roller blind: free hanging, side guided, with tensioned fabric;
— vertical blind: free hanging, with top and bottom track, sloping headrail;
— pleated and honeycomb blind: free hanging, guided, laterally moving, tensioned;
— Roman Shades;
— Austrian / Festoon blinds;
— panel blinds;
— plantation shutters;
— roll-up blinds.
These products may be operated manually, with or without compensating springs, or by means of electric
motors (power operated products).
This standard does not apply to draperies and insect screens. It does not apply to blinds in sealed glazed
units with the exception of requirements related to protection from strangulation.
NOTE Insect screens may be installed either internally or externally. However, because they are always exposed to
external conditions in use ( windows/doors opened), insects screens are covered by EN 13561 applying to external blinds
and awnings.
Noise aspects are not treated in this standard because this is not considered a safety issue.
This standard is not applicable to internal blinds which are manufactured before the date of publication of this
standard.
Abschlüsse innen - Leistungs- und Sicherheitsanforderungen
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen fest, die an einem Gebäude befestigte innere Abschlüsse erfüllen müssen. Die Norm behandelt auch signifikante Gefährdungen bei Motorbedienung für Konstruktion, Transport, Einbau, Bedienung und Wartung von inneren Abschlüssen (siehe Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen in Anhang B).
Die Norm gilt für alle unten aufgeführten inneren Abschlüsse, unabhängig von deren Konstruktion und der Art der verwendeten Werkstoffe:
- Jalousien (innen)/Raffstores: freihängend, geführt, mit nicht raffbaren Lamellen;
- Rollos: freihängend, seitlich geführt, mit gespanntem Tuch;
- Vertikaljalousien (innen): freihängend, oben und unten geführt, mit geneigter Oberschiene;
- Faltstores und Wabenfaltstores (Plissees): freihängend, geführt, frei verschiebbar, verspannt;
- Raffrollos;
- Raffvorhänge;
- Flächenvorhänge;
- Innenfensterläden;
- Aufrollsysteme.
Diese Produkte dürfen manuell bedient werden, mit oder ohne ausgleichende Federn, oder mittels Elektromotoren (kraftbetätigte Produkte).
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Vorhänge und Insektenschutzgitter. Sie gilt nicht für Abschlüsse in geschlossenen Verglasungen, mit Ausnahme von Anforderungen, die sich auf den Schutz vor Strangulierung beziehen.
ANMERKUNG Insektenschutzgitter können innen oder außen angebracht sein. Da sie beim Gebrauch jedoch stets äußeren Bedingungen ausgesetzt sind (geöffnete Fenster/Türen), werden Insektenschutzgitter durch EN 13561 abgedeckt, die für Markisen gilt.
Aspekte des Schallschutzes sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm, da sie nicht als sicherheitstechnisch relevant betrachtet werden.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für innere Abschlüsse, die vor dem Veröffentlichungsdatum dieser Norm hergestellt wurden.
Stores intérieurs - Exigences de performance, y compris la sécurité
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences auxquelles les stores intérieurs doivent satisfaire lorsqu'ils sont installés dans un bâtiment. Elle traite également des phénomènes dangereux significatifs liés aux machines et relatifs à la fabrication, au transport, à l'installation, à l'utilisation et à la maintenance des stores intérieurs (voir la liste des phénomènes dangereux significatifs en Annexe B).
Elle s'applique aux stores intérieurs, quelles que soient leur conception et la nature des matériaux utilisés, tels que listés ci-dessous :
- stores vénitiens : libres, guidés, vélum ;
- stores à enroulement : libres, guidés, à rouleau automatique, à tension permanente ;
- stores à bandes verticales : libres, avec guidage haut et bas, inclinés ;
- stores plissés et en nid d'abeilles : libres, guidés, à refoulement latéral, à tension permanente ;
- stores bateau ;
- stores bouillonnés ;
- stores japonais ;
- volets intérieurs ;
- stores à enroulement type roll'up.
Ces produits peuvent être manœuvrés manuellement, avec ou sans ressorts de compensation, ou au moyen de moteurs électriques (produits motorisés).
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux voilages et aux moustiquaires. Elle ne s'applique pas aux stores intégrés dans les vitrages scellés, à l'exception des exigences relatives à la protection contre la strangulation.
NOTE Les moustiquaires peuvent être installées à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur. Toutefois, étant toujours exposées aux conditions extérieures lorsqu'elles sont utilisées (fenêtres/portes ouvertes), les moustiquaires sont couvertes par l'EN 13561 relative aux stores extérieurs et auvents.
N'étant pas considérés comme des questions de sécurité, les aspects liés au bruit ne sont pas traités dans cette norme.
Cette norme ne s'applique pas aux stores intérieurs fabriqués avant la date de publication de cette norme.
