Extended application of results from fire resistance tests - Non-loadbearing walls - Part 3: Lightweight partitions
This document provides guidance and, where appropriate, defines procedures for variations of certain parameters and factors associated with the design of lightweight partitions which have been tested in accordance with EN 1364-1, and classified according to EN 13501-2.
This document only applies to non-loadbearing lightweight partitions with a single steel framework, provided at both sides with a lining. The lightweight partition can be insulated or not with a mineral wool insulation.
This document does not apply to any other types of non-loadbearing walls considered in EN 1364-1.

Dieses Dokument enthält eine Anleitung für Änderungen bestimmter Parameter und Faktoren, die die Gestaltung von nach EN 1364-1 geprüften und nach EN 13501-2 klassifizierten Leichtbautrennwänden betreffen. Weiterhin definiert dieses Dokument, sofern zutreffend, die entsprechenden Verfahren.
Dieses Dokument gilt nur für nichttragende Leichtbautrennwände mit einem einzelnen Stahlgerüst, das auf beiden Seiten mit einer Auskleidung versehen ist. Die Leichtbautrennwand kann über eine Mineralwollisolierung verfügen.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für jegliche anderen, in EN 1364-1 behandelten, Arten von nichttragenden Wänden.

La présente Norme européenne fournit des instructions et, le cas échéant, définit des procédures pour les variations de certains paramètres et facteurs liés à la conception de cloisons légères qui ont été soumises à essai conformément à l'EN 1364-1 et classées conformément à l'EN 13501-2.
La présente norme s'applique uniquement aux cloisons légères avec une seule ossature en acier munie d'un parement des deux côtés. La cloison légère peut ou non être isolée avec de la laine minérale.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux autres types de murs non-porteurs traités dans l'EN 1364-1.

This document (EN 15254-3:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 127
“Fire safety in buildings”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2020, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2020.

1 Scope
This document provides guidance and, where appropriate, defines procedures for variations of
certain parameters and factors associated with the design of lightweight partitions, which have
been tested in accordance with EN 1364-1, and classified according to EN 13501-2.
This document only applies to non-loadbearing lightweight partitions with a single steel
framework, provided with a lining on both sides of the steel framework. The lightweight
partition can be insulated with a mineral wool insulation within the partition cavity or not be
insulated.
This document does not apply to any other types of non-loadbearing lightweight partitions
considered in EN 1364-1.

sides of the steel framework
Note 1 to entry: The lightweight partition cavity can be insulated with a mineral wool insulation within
the partition cavity or not be insulated.

classification of the lightweight partition in accordance with EN 13501-2 with only taking into
account the E and/or EI-classification

layer(s) of boards fixed at each side to the steel framework of the lightweight partition

section in which the thickness is uniform and substantially smaller than the other dimensions,
