Corrosion of metals and alloys - Determination of dezincification resistance of copper alloys with zinc (ISO 6509:2014)

EN ISO 6509-1 specifies a method for the determination of dezincification depth of copper alloys with zinc exposed to fresh, saline waters or drinking water. The method is intended for copper alloys with a mass fraction of zinc more than 15 %. This part of ISO 6509 describes only the test methodology and does not set out criteria for acceptability of materials for a specific application. Acceptance criteria are described in ISO 6509-2.

Korrosion von Metallen und Legierungen - Bestimmung der Entzinkungsbeständigkeit von Kupfer-Zink-Legierungen (ISO 6509:2014)

Die vorliegende Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Entzinkungsbeständigkeit von Kupfer-Zink-Legierungen fest, die Wasser, salzhaltigen wässrigen Lösungen oder Trinkwasser ausgesetzt werden, und zur Berechnung der Entzinkungstiefe nach der Prüfung. Das Verfahren ist für Kupfer-Zink-Legierungen vorgesehen, die einen Massenanteil an Zink von mehr als 15 % aufweisen.
ANMERKUNG   Das Verfahren kann außerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches im Rahmen einer Überprüfung oder zu Forschungszwecken angewendet werden.

L'ISO 6509-1:2014 spécifie une méthode permettant de déterminer la profondeur de dézincification du cuivre allié avec le zinc, exposé aux eaux douces ou salées, ou à l'eau potable. Cette méthode est applicable aux alliages de cuivre ayant une fraction massique en zinc supérieure à 15 %.
L'ISO 6509-1:2014 décrit uniquement la méthodologie d'essai et n'indique pas les critères d'acceptabilité des matériaux dans le cadre d'une application spécifique. Les critères d'acceptation sont décrits dans l'ISO 6509 2.

Ta metoda je namenjena za bakrove zlitine z masnim deležem, višjim od 15 %. Ta del standarda ISO 6509 opisuje samo preskusno metodologijo in ne navaja meril za sprejemljivost materialov za določeno uporabo. Merila sprejemljivosti so podrobneje opisana v standardu ISO 6509-2.

This document (EN ISO 6509-1:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 156 “Corrosion of

metals and alloys” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 262 “Metallic and other inorganic

coatings” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical

text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn

at the latest by December 2014.
