Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Determination of cold crack temperature of surface coatings (ISO 17233:2002)

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the cold crack temperature of surface coatings applied to leather. It is applicable to all leathers which have a surface coating and which can be easily flexed.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Kältebruchtemperatur von Oberflächendeckschichten fest, die auf Leder aufgetragen wurden. Das Verfahren gilt für alle Leder mit Oberflächendeckschichten, die leicht gefaltet werden können.

This document (EN ISO 17233:2002) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289
"Leather", the secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of
Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS).
It is based on Method IUP 29 of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists
Societies.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg,
