This document specifies a test procedure to determine the deposition efficiency for thermal spraying.
It provides a reliable comparison method between different spray processes and different feed stock.
It is applicable for all thermal spray processes (see ISO 14917) and all wire, rod, cord and powder spray
materials.
It is applicable when data concerning the deposition efficiency of a spray process in connection with a
defined spray material are required.

Thermisches Spritzen - Bestimmung der Auftragrate beim thermischen Spritzen (ISO 17836:2017)

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren der Prüfungsdurchführung zur Bestimmung der Auftragrate für thermische Spritzverfahren fest. Es liefert ein zuverlässiges Verfahren für Vergleiche zwischen unterschiedlichen Spritzverfahren und unterschiedlichen zu fördernden Werkstoffen.
Es ist anwendbar für alle thermischen Spritzver¬fahren (siehe ISO 14917) und alle draht , stab , schnur  und pulverförmigen Spritzzusätze.
Es ist anwendbar, wenn Angaben über die Auftragrate eines Spritzverfahrens in Verbindung mit einem bestimmten Spritzzusatz erforderlich sind.

Projection thermique - Détermination du rendement de dépôt en projection thermique (ISO 17836:2017)

L'ISO 17836 :2017 spécifie un mode opératoire de mise en ?uvre des essais destinés à déterminer le rendement de dépôt en projection thermique. Il fournit une méthode de comparaison fiable entre différents procédés de projection et différentes matières premières.
Il est applicable à tous les procédés de projection thermique (voir l'ISO 14917) et à tous les matériaux d'apport tels que fils, baguettes, cordons et poudres.
Il est applicable lorsque les données concernant le rendement de dépôt d'un procédé de projection associé à un matériau d'apport bien défini sont requises.

Vroče brizganje - Ugotavljanje učinkovitosti nanosa za vroče brizganje (ISO 17836:2017)

Ta dokument določa preskusno metodo za ugotavljanje učinkovitosti nanašanja za vroče brizganje. Določa zanesljivo primerjalno metodo med različnimi postopki brizganja in različnimi materiali za nanos. Uporablja se za vse postopke vročega brizganja (glej standard ISO 14917) ter za vse materiale za brizganje v obliki žic, palic, trakov in
materiale za razprševanju prahu.
Uporablja se za pridobivanje podatkov glede učinkovitosti nanosa pri postopku brizganja glede na izbrani material za brizganje.

This document (EN ISO 17836:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 107 “Metallic
and other inorganic coatings” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 240 “Thermal
spraying and thermally sprayed coatings” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 17836:2004.
