Solid biofuels - Determination of mechanical durability of pellets and briquettes - Part 2: Briquettes (ISO 17831-2:2015)

This document aims to define the requirements and method used for testing the mechanical durability of briquettes. It is intended for persons and organisations that manufacture, plan, sell, erect or use machinery, equipment, tools and entire plants related to such briquettes, and to all persons and organisations involved in producing, purchasing, selling and utilising briquettes.
The durability is measure of the resistance of densified fuels towards shocks and/or abrasion as a consequence of handling and transportation processes.

Dieser Teil von ISO 17831 definiert ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der mechanischen Festigkeit von Briketts. Die mechanische Festigkeit ist ein Maß für die Beständigkeit von gepressten Brennstoffen gegenüber Stoß und/oder Abrieb infolge von Handhabungs  und Transportprozessen.

Namenjen je osebam in organizacijami, ki proizvajajo, načrtujejo, prodajajo, sestavljajo ali uporabljajo stroje, opremo, orodja in celotne obrate, povezane z briketi ter osebam in organizacijam, ki se ukvarjajo s proizvajanjem, nakupom, prodajo in uporabo briketov. Odpornost je merilo odpornosti stisnjenega goriva na udarce in/ali obrabo, ki se pojavi pri prevozu goriva ali delu z njim.

This document (EN ISO 17831-2:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 238 "Solid
biofuels" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 335 “Solid biofuels” the secretariat of
which is held by SIS.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2016.
