Resilient floor coverings - Polyvinyl chloride floor coverings with cork-based backing - Specification

This European Standard specifies the characteristics of floor coverings based on polyvinyl chloride and modifications thereof with a cork-based backing, supplied in either tile or roll form. To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, the standard includes a classification system (see EN 685) based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings should give satisfactory service. It also specifies requirements for marking.

Diese europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Bodenbelägen auf der Basis von Polyvinylchlorid und dessen Modifikationen mit einem Rücken auf Korkbasis fets, die sowohl in Form von Platten als auch als Rollen geliefert werden. Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält diese Norm ein Klassifizierungssystem (siehe EN 685) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wo für diese Bodenbeläge ein zufriedenstellender Nutzen möglich wäre. Die Norm legt auch die Anforderungen zur Kennzeichnung fest.

La présente norme européenne prescrit les caractéristiques des revetements de sol a base de polychlorure de vinyle et ses modifications avec support a base de liege sous forme de dalles ou de rouleau. Pour aider le consommateur a faire son choix, la norme inclut un systeme de classification (voir l'EN 685) basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit ou ces revetements de sol devraient rendre un service satisfaisant. Elle prescrit aussi les exigences pour le marquage.
