Nonwovens - Test methods - Part 13: Repeated liquid strike-through time (simulated urine) (ISO 9073-13:2023)

This document specifies a test method for the determination of the strike-through time (STT) for each of three subsequent doses of liquid (simulated urine) applied to the surface of a test specimen of nonwoven coverstock.
This test method is intended for quality control and is designed for comparison of STT for different nonwoven coverstocks. It does not simulate in-use conditions for finished products.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Durchdringzeit (STT, en: strike-through time) für jede von drei aufeinanderfolgenden Dosen von Flüssigkeit (simulierter Urin) fest, die auf die Oberfläche einer Messprobe einer Vliesstoff-Auflage aufgebracht werden.
Dieses Prüfverfahren ist für die Qualitätskontrolle vorgesehen und für den Vergleich der STT für verschiedene Vliesstoff-Auflagen ausgelegt. Es simuliert keine Einsatzbedingungen für Endprodukte.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode d’essai permettant de déterminer le temps de transpercement (TT) de trois quantités de liquide (urine artificielle) appliquées successivement à la surface d’une éprouvette d'essai prélevée dans une enveloppe de couche-culotte en nontissé.
La présente méthode d’essai est destinée à être utilisée dans le cadre de contrôles qualité et pour comparer le TT de différentes enveloppes de couche-culotte en nontissé. Elle ne simule pas les conditions d’utilisation des produits finis.

Standard ISO 9073-13:2006 določa preskusno metodo za merjenje časa zapovrstnega prepuščanja tekočin (STT) za vsakega od treh zaporednih odmerkov tekočine (simuliranega seča), nanesenih na površino preskušanca, ki je vpojni prekrivni material iz vlakovin. Čas zapovrstnega prepuščanja tekočin je opredeljen kot čas, v katerem znana količina tekočine pronica skozi vlakovino, katere spodnja stran je v stiku s standardno suho vpojno blazinico.
Ta preskusna metoda je namenjena kontroli kakovosti in je zasnovana za primerjavo časa zapovrstnega prepuščanja tekočin, značilnega za različne vpojne prekrivne materiale iz vlakovin. Ne simulira pogojev uporabe končnih izdelkov.

"Textiles" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products” the
secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2023, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2023.
