Residential solid fuel burning appliances - Part 2-7: Combination appliances fired by wood logs and pellets
This document is applicable to space heaters, inset appliances and cookers intended for mechanical fuelling with wood pellets and for manual fuelling with other solid fuel. They can be freestanding or inset appliances.
The intended use of the appliances is space heating in residential buildings and can be cooking. They can be fitted with a boiler (integral part of the appliance containing water to be heated up) for the supply of hot water for central heating systems.
These appliances typically use auxiliary energy which is measured in this standard as well. They are operated with natural draught and can be fan-assisted.
NOTE 1 A fan-assisted appliance does still operate under negative pressure in the flue gas system.
For inset appliances and especially their testing additional information can be necessary from EN 16510-2-2.
These appliances burn wood pellets and wood logs only, in accordance with the appliance instructions. They only operate with the firedoors closed.
NOTE 2 These appliances can have an integral fuel hopper or be combined with an external fuel hopper.
These appliances can be fitted with a single or double combustion chamber having a single flue gas outlet.
This document specifies procedures for assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of characteristics of combination appliances fired by wood logs and pellets.
This document is not applicable to appliances
- with boiler intended for water systems having water temperatures above 110°C and 3 bar and for sanitary hot water,
- intended to be used with a pure horizontal exhaust (through the building wall),
- with flue gas condensation in the appliance,
- switching on / off for part load operation,
- with simultaneous wood and pellet operation with a single flue gas outlet,
- with non-automatic pellet loading,
- with single combustion chamber and double flue gas outlet.

Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar Raumheizer, Einsätze und Herde, die mechanisch mit Holzpellets oder manuell mit anderen festen Brennstoffen beschickt werden. Dies können freistehende oder eingebaute Geräte sein.
Der Verwendungszweck der Geräte ist Raumheizung in Wohngebäuden und kann das Kochen sein. Sie können mit wasserführenden Bauteilen (als feste Bestandteile des Gerätes mit zu erhitzendem Wasser) zur Warmwasserbereitung der Zentralheizung ausgestattet sein.
Diese Geräte verwenden typischerweise Hilfsenergie, die ebenfalls in diesem Dokument bestimmt wird. Sie werden mit natürlichem Förderdruck betrieben und können Gebläse unterstützt sein.
ANMERKUNG 1 Eine gebläseunterstützte Feuerstätte arbeitet bei Unterdruck im Abgassystem.
Für Einsätze und insbesondere deren Prüfung können zusätzliche Informationen aus EN 16510-2-2 relevant sein.
Diese Geräte verfeuern nur Holzpellets und Scheitholz, in Übereinstimmung mit der Geräteanleitung. Sie werden nur mit geschlossenen Feuerraumtüren betrieben.
ANMERKUNG 2 Diese Geräte können einen integrierten Brennstoffbehälter haben oder mit einem externen Brennstoffbehälter kombiniert werden.

Dieses Dokument legt das Verfahren für die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit (AVCP) der Eigenschaften von mit Holz und Holzpellets beschickte Kombinationsgeräten fest.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anzuwenden für Geräte:
- mit wasserführenden Bauteilen vorgesehen für Wassersysteme mit einer Wassertemperatur über 110 °C und 3 bar und Brauchwarmwasser;
- die für den Betrieb mit direkter horizontaler Abgasführung (durch die Gebäudewand) vorgesehen sind;
- mit Abgaskondensation in der Feuerstätte;
- mit an- und ausschaltendem Teillast-Betrieb;
- mit gleichzeitigem Betrieb von Holz und Pellets mit einem einfachen Abgasabzug;
- mit nicht automatischer Zuführung von Pellets;
- mit einfacher Brennkammer und doppeltem Abgasabzug.

Le présent document s’applique aux dispositifs de chauffage, inserts et cuisinières destinés au chauffage des locaux, à alimentation mécanique pour les granulés de bois et à alimentation manuelle pour tout autre combustible solide. Ces appareils peuvent être indépendants ou de type insert.
L’usage prévu des appareils est le chauffage des locaux dans les bâtiments résidentiels et éventuellement la cuisson. Ils peuvent être équipés d’un bouilleur (faisant partie intégrante de l’appareil et contenant de l’eau à chauffer) pour fournir de l’eau chaude aux systèmes de chauffage central.
Ces appareils utilisent généralement de l’énergie auxiliaire, qui est également mesurée dans la présente norme. Ils fonctionnent en tirage naturel et peuvent être équipés d’un ventilateur.
NOTE 1 Un appareil équipé d’un ventilateur fonctionne toujours avec un conduit de fumées soumis à une pression négative.
Pour les inserts et notamment leurs essais, des informations supplémentaires de l’EN 16510-2-2 peuvent être nécessaires.
Ces appareils utilisent uniquement des bûches de bois et des granulés de bois, conformément aux instructions de l’appareil. Ils ne fonctionnent qu’avec les portes foyères fermées.
NOTE 2 Ces appareils peuvent comporter une trémie à combustible intégrée ou être combinés avec une trémie à combustible externe.
Ces appareils peuvent être équipés d’une chambre de combustion simple ou double, à une seule buse d’évacuation.
Le présent document spécifie des modes opératoires pour l’évaluation et la vérification de la constance des performances (EVCP) des caractéristiques des appareils mixtes à bûches et à granulés de bois.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux appareils :
- à bouilleur prévu pour les circuits d’eau dont la température d’eau est supérieure à 110 °C et 3 bar ainsi que pour l’eau chaude sanitaire ;
- prévus pour une utilisation avec une évacuation purement horizontale (directement à travers le mur du bâtiment) ;
- à condensation des fumées dans l’appareil ;
- à commutation marche/arrêt pour un fonctionnement à charge partielle ;
- fonctionnant simultanément avec du bois et des granulés avec une seule buse d’évacuation ;
- dont le chargement des granulés n’est pas automatique ;
- à une seule chambre de combustion et une buse d’évacuation double.
