Safety of escalators and moving walks - Part 1: Construction and installation

This European Standard is applicable for new escalators and moving walks (pallet or belt type) as defined in Clause 3.
This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to escalators and moving walks when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
This European Standard is not applicable to escalators and moving walks which were manufactured before the date of its publication. It is, however, recommended that existing installations be adapted to this standard.

Sicherheit von Fahrtreppen und Fahrsteigen - Teil 1: Konstruktion und Einbau

1.1   Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf gilt für neue Fahrtreppen und Fahrsteige (Paletten- oder Gurtkonstruktion), wie im Abschnitt 3 definiert.
Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf Fahrtreppen und Fahrsteige zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter Bedingungen von durch den Hersteller vernünftigerweise vorhersehbaren Fehlanwendungen verwendet werden (siehe Abschnitt 4).
1.2   Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Fahrtreppen und Fahrsteige, die vor dem Datum seiner Veröffentlichung hergestellt wurden. Es wird jedoch empfohlen, dass bestehende Anlagen an diese Norm angepasst werden.

Sécurité des escaliers mécaniques et trottoirs roulants - Partie 1: Construction et installation

1.1   Le présent projet de Norme européenne est applicable aux nouveaux escaliers mécaniques et trottoirs roulants (à palettes ou à bande) tels que définis à l’Article 3.
Le présent projet de Norme européenne prend en compte tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations et événements dangereux significatifs relatifs aux escaliers mécaniques et trottoirs roulants, utilisés conformément à l’usage pour lequel ils ont été prévus ainsi que dans des cas d’utilisations inappropriées qui peuvent être raisonnablement prévisibles par le constructeur (voir Article 4).
1.2   Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux escaliers mécaniques et trottoirs roulants fabriqués avant sa date de publication. Il est toutefois recommandé que les installations existantes soient adaptées à cette norme.

1.1 Ta osnutek evropskega standarda se uporablja za nove tekoče stopnice in tekoče steze (paletne ali tračne), kot je opredeljeno v točki 3.
Ta osnutek evropskega standarda opisuje vsa večja tveganja, nevarne situacije in nevarne dogodke, ki so povezani s tekočimi stopnicami in tekočimi stezami, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z njihovim namenom in pod pogoji pričakovane nepravilne uporabe, ki jih določa proizvajalec (glej točko 4).
