Textiles - Test methods for nonwovens - Part 16: Determination of resistance to penetration by water (hydrostatic pressure) (ISO 9073-16:2007)

ISO 9073-16:2007 describes the hydrostatic pressure test that measures the resistance of nonwoven fabrics to the penetration of water under varied hydrostatic head pressures.
ISO 9073-16:2007 applies to any nonwoven fabrics which are intended for use as a barrier to the penetration of fluids.

Der vorliegende Teil der ISO 9073 beschreibt den hydrostatischen Druckversuch, bei dem die Beständigkeit
von Vliesstoffen gegen die Durchdringung mit Wasser bei unterschiedlichen hydrostatischen Kopfdrücken
gemessen wird.
Dieser Teil der ISO 9073 gilt für alle Vliesstoffe, die zur Verwendung als Sperre gegen das Durchdringen von
Flüssigkeiten vorgesehen sind.

L'ISO 9073-16:2008 décrit un essai de pression hydrostatique qui permet de mesurer la résistance des étoffes nontissées à la pénétration d'eau sous différentes pressions hydrostatiques.
Elle s'applique à toute étoffe nontissée destinée à empêcher la pénétration de fluides.

The text of ISO 9073-16:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 “Textiles” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 9073-16:2008 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
