This standard specifies the required characteristics of a coaxial cable, 50 O, type WD, for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperature between - 55 °C and 200 °C and specially for high frequency up to 8 GHz. Nevertheless, if needed, - 65 °C is also acceptable as shown by thermal stability test.

Diese Norm legt die erforderlichen Eigenschaften eines Koaxialkabels, 50 Ω, Typ WD, zur Verwendung in
elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen –55 °C und 200 °C insbesondere
für hohe Frequenzen bis 8 GHz fest. Wie durch die Prüfung auf thermische Beständigkeit nachgewiesen
wurde, ist erforderlichenfalls auch eine Temperatur von –65 °C zulässig.
