39.040.99 - Other time-measuring instruments

This standard specifies the technical and functional requirements and test methods for parking terminals installed on or off-street. It applies to unattended terminals used to obtain the right to park for visual and / or electronic control of an unlimited number of road vehicles, against payment or not.
This standard covers only the terminal aspects of the parking system.
This standard does not cover mobile phone applications or pay-on-foot terminals.

In general, this part of IEC 60730 applies to timers and time switches for household and similar use that may use electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, solar thermal energy, etc. or a combination thereof, including heating, air conditioning and similar applications. This standard is also applicable to individual timers utilized as part of a control system or timers which are mechanically integral with multifunctional controls having non-electrical outlets.
